Toto is the company that makes fancy Japanese toilets, also known as Washlets. These toilets feature a heated seat, deodorizer and bidet, among other amenities.
Before forming Toto its members were session musicians for Steely Dan[3] Seals and Crofts[4] Boz Skaggs, Sonny and Cher. The guitarist Steve Lukather was the band's lead singer.
About Toto
The band Toto was formed in 1976 by guitarists Jeff Porcaro and David Paich (who were also acclaimed studio musicians who worked with Boz Scaggs at the time) and singer/bassist Bobby Kimball. Their name is derived from the Latin word that means "all all-encompassing," the group was intent on exploring every musical style.
The third album from Toto, Turn Back, was a failure in 1981. However they made amends with their fourth release, Isolation, which contained two songs that were hits including the title track and Roseanna. The album and tour make Toto a household name across the world.
After a brief break, Toto returns with the album Fahrenheit. It is a departure from the ballads that were featured on previous albums and includes some heavy rock. This album was their first to be certified platinum in North America.
In the course of recording the fifth album The group loses its manager and faces financial difficulties. They decide to change their name and 안전놀이터 추천 make a new album using the new producer. The lead vocalist Fergie Frederiksen is let go and replaced by Joseph Williams, son of the legendary film composer John Williams and 1950s actress Barbara Ruick. Joseph is a more natural frontman than Frederiksen and gives the band a much-needed boost.
The band releases Mindfields in 1999 and embarks on a huge tour around the world. After a few months in Europe they head to Japan where the shows are sold out. After a short hiatus, Toto resumes their recording and release their first live album, Absolutely Live in 1993. This includes a cover version of Weezer's hit song Hash Pipe as a response to the band covering Africa on their recent tour. Toto's touring group is comprised by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.

Toto is a rock band from America that achieved their greatest success in the 1980s. The band was created by experienced session musicians and has sold more than 40 million albums around the world.
Toto was the first album released by the band in 1978. The album was a huge hit and launched the band into international fame. Since then, the group has released 14 albums that have all been a hit.
In 1984, Toto wrote their first and to date only, movie score for the film Dune. It was a huge undertaking and the entire group had to be involved. The album that came out, Kingdom of Desire, was another record that was a huge success. After a world tour, Bobby Kimball quit the group. He was replaced by Fergie Frederiksen of Le Roux. The band continued to push forward with their fifth album, Isolation. The album featured a few songs that were hits, like "Stranger in Town".
After Isolation Toto was released, the band went on absence. This gave each member of the group the opportunity to pursue their individual projects. In 1996, the band came back together to tour and make an album. This was the first time that all of the original members were on stage together for over a decade.
The next year, Toto toured with Ringo Starr's All Starr Band. This was the last time all of Toto's original members were together on stage at the same time. Following this, the group disbanded once again. Toto reunited for a benefit concert in 2010 to raise money for the ALS Foundation. This was the first time all of the original Toto members appeared performing together for over 31 years. The original Toto members were joined by keyboardist Greg Tambu who filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate who filled in for Shem von Schroeck.
Tours
Toto has remained one of the most adored rock groups for more than three decades, scoring massive hits such as "Rosanna," "Hold The Line,"" and their 8X-platinum smash, "Africa." With a range of influences, from progressive rock to world rhythms to jazz and soul, the group continues to please fans with their acoustic arena rock.
Despite their fame The group faced a few challenges in their final years. In 2002 the drummer Greg Phillinganes left the group and keyboardist David Paich took a leave of absence due to health reasons. Drummer Shem von Schroeck stepped in however the group was not the same without Paich and Phillinganes. In 2008, Toto decided to take off from touring following changing the lineup of their band and a series of disappointing releases. The group returned to touring in 2012 following the release of their album 40 Trips Around The Sun.
The album was a return to the band's best form, and the tour that went with it featured sold-out concerts in North America and Europe. The reunion of Toto gained momentum with the return of bassist Shem Von Schroeck and guitarist Steve Lukather.
Toto's music is just as relevant today as it was in the 1970s and 80s and is gaining new fans with every new generation. Their success has made them a permanent part of pop culture, and their live performances are always packed with energy and excitement.
